Capacity building for nonprofits

Fundraising tools that work with what you already have.

For Executive Directors and development teams at small and mid-size nonprofits. No new platforms. No vendor lock-in.

If I cannot save you time on the first call, I will not waste your second.

19organizations served
40+nonprofit professionals trained
50+coaching hours delivered
30days to results

Three things you can name in the first month.

Numbers over adjectives. This is what changes, and by how much.

Prospect research

Save 5+ hours a week on prospect research

Stop spending hours on web research and LinkedIn by hand. Spend that time on the calls that actually move money.

Existing donors

Raise more from the donors you already have

Better segmentation, sharper appeals, faster stewardship. Same list. Better conversion.

Your team

Train your team on the tools they already use

No new platforms. No data migration. Real workflows your team can run on day one.

One of these fits your team. The first call sorts which.

Productized engagements that protect your team’s time. No six-month bespoke projects, no staff-augmentation contracts.

01For foundations funding their portfolio

Cohort

Foundation-funded capacity building for grantees. A small cohort format with a shared skill library, and everyone keeps access after the cohort closes.

  • Thirty days from kickoff to results
  • Hands-on builds inside the tools each team already uses
  • Priced per organization, funded by the foundation
See how it works
02One specific problem to solve

1:1 consulting

Hourly or monthly retainer. Right when you have one specific problem to solve and want a second set of hands on it for four to eight weeks.

  • Hourly or monthly retainer
  • Most engagements run four to eight weeks
  • Pricing shared on the first call so you can plan
See how it works
03A working system, not a deck

Custom build

Fixed-price builds for teams that want a working system, not a deck. The platform is chosen to fit your existing stack, not the other way around: Claude, ChatGPT and Codex, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Salesforce, Google Gemini, or your internal tools.

  • Scoped per project, fixed price
  • Built on your existing stack
  • Fixed timeline, defined deliverable
See how it works

The work stays scoped to a defined deliverable. If you need a firm to camp inside your organization for a quarter, I am probably not the right fit. What each shape looks like, week by week

I can help you build capacity with the tools you have already.

Off the screen this week

Taking the spring cleaning conversation off the screen this week. Two rooms, two very different audiences: Tuesday’s Toronto Tech Week workshop, and a workshop at Decoupled Days in Montréal this August. Same argument both times: stop chasing the next platform, look at what you already have.

Toronto Workshop, May 26 (Plus the Week That Made It Feel Urgent)

A free Toronto Tech Week workshop on May 26, plus five posts from the week that made the case feel urgent: the subway moment, the cutting-edge question, and the riskiest thing a nonprofit can do right now.

The "I told you so" moment from AI

I had a long back and forth with Claude this week. The imposter voice doing its usual thing. A few days later, after the client said yes, Claude pulled the receipts.

Why I’m doing this.

I spent sixteen years in the nonprofit sector before joining Deloitte’s fundraising services practice. Program director, campaign director, settlement worker. Mostly Toronto, mostly small and mid-size organizations doing real frontline work with budgets that never matched the need.

After Deloitte I started Anyone Can Fundraise because the same pattern showed up everywhere: nonprofits paying for tools they were not using. The work now is closing that gap. Not by selling you more software, but by sitting beside your team, working the tools you already pay for, and leaving behind something you can keep running after the engagement closes.

Off hours, I am at CrossFit most mornings and biking in the evenings, cheering on the local teams in season, and at home in Toronto with my family and our mascot, Einstein.

Who is this for?

Executive Directors and development teams at small and mid-size nonprofits, typically 5 to 50 staff, that want to use AI in fundraising without buying a new platform. Also foundations that want portfolio-wide capacity building for their grantees.

Does this replace our CRM?

No. I work inside whatever you already have: Salesforce, HubSpot, Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, or a stack of spreadsheets. The point is to make those tools think, not to replace them.

Do you do six-month implementations?

No. The longest standard engagement is 30 days for a cohort. Custom builds are fixed price after a one-hour scoping call. 1:1 consulting typically runs four to eight weeks.

Do I need technical staff to make this work?

No. The work is built inside the tools your team already uses. If your team can use Outlook or Gmail, they can use what gets shipped.

Is the starter pack actually free?

Yes. Worth more than $2,000 if you priced it as a deliverable. Free to use, with a one-time name and email sign-up to reach the full playbook.

Where are you located?

Toronto, Canada. I work with US and Canadian organizations, mostly over Teams or Google Meet. If your data residency requirements are complex, we sort that out on the first call.

If I cannot save you time on the first call, I will not waste your second.
